Performances of this year's Marlowe
Theatre pantomime, Peter Pan, are back on.

Earlier this week organisers were
forced to cancel shows at the Marlowe Arena in Kingsmead for safety
reasons, following a diesel spillage from an outside
heater.

A sell-out out audience of more
than 1,000 had to be turned away on Tuesday when the decision was
taken to cancel the show because of the strong smell.

Wednesday and Thursday's
performances were also called off while teams worked around
the clock to relay flooring and get the arena ready again.

The cast were welcomed back on
stage on Friday morning for a performance in front of hundreds of
excited school children.

Tickets are still available for the all shows until Sunday, January 17 by calling the box office on 01227 787787 or by visiting the Marlowe Theatre website.
