The world of medieval Canterbury came to life at the weekend during a special event at the Dane John Gardens.
Historical and local interest groups got together with students from Canterbury Christ Church University to put on the event.
Among the attractions were medieval war re-enactment performers, a medieval cook, a coconut shy and a stall for the Canterbury Tourist Guides, promoting their city walking tours as well as one raising awareness about Parkinson’s disease.
Jane Lovell, the director of the events management programme at Christ Church, oversaw the event.
She said: “Our students are learning to how to organise events and the best way to do that is to actually organise one.
“This has been about having a good time and finding out about Canterbury’s rich medieval history.
“They’ve done an excellent job and we’ve an excellent day.”
