Men arrested after woman reports rape in Canterbury city centre released as police continue to investigate

Two men arrested on suspicion of rape have been released without charge as police continue to investigate.

Officers arrested the men, aged 25 and 28, in the early hours of September 13 after reports a woman had been raped in Church Street St Paul's, Canterbury , earlier that evening.

Police cordoned off the city centre street following the attack .

Both men were bailed until Sunday, but police have now confirmed they have since been released without charge.

A spokesman for the force said officers are still actively investigating the incident.
