A vulnerable missing teenager may have caught a train to Whitstable. Have you see this girl?
Laley Lane went missing from an address in Hove, Sussex, a week ago on Saturday, October 20.
It is believed the 13-year-old, who police have described as very vulnerable, may have travelled by train to the seaside town after making her way to London.
Laley lived in Kent for several years and has family and friends in Whistable, Herne bay, Canterbury and Margate.
Police have said they are extremely concerned for her welfare and detective Chief Inspector Jez Graves who is leading the search for Laley said: "It is essential that Laley is found as soon as possible so she can get the care and support that she needs.
“It is highly likely that she has already contacted or will try to contact people she knows. I want to emphasise how important it is for anyone who hears from her or knows where she is or has any information that could help us find her, to please get in touch as a matter of urgency - I would like to think that anyone who has her best interests at heart will do so."
Laley is described as white, about 5' 3", of slim build with hazel eyes and shoulder length hair which when last seen was pink at the front and red at the back. In previous sightings she was seen wearing a dark grey hoodie, black jeggings and black Nike trainers and carrying a small blue drawstring bag.
