A late penalty corner denied Canterbury Ladies a second win of the season in the Women’s Premier Division 2-2 at Clifton on Saturday.

They led 2-1 with seconds remaining after coming from behind to lead, all three goals coming in the space of 13 minutes.

Natalie Seymour and South African international Jen Wilson put them in front, after Fleur Horner had put the home side ahead, Leah Wilkinson earning the Bristol club a point.

Player-coach Kwan Browne (pictured) scored the winner as Canterbury Men stayed joint-leaders of Men’s Conference East, with a 2-1 win against Harleston Magpies at Polo Farm.

The game was decided in the first half, Canterbury trailed to a sixth minute opener by Andy Hipwell, but were back on level terms eight minutes later through Ben Hare.

Browne got the decider two minutes before the break, with Canterbury denied top-spot on goal difference by Old Loughtonians.
