A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a car.

Police were called at around 3.25pm yesterday following reports of the accident on the A28 Ashford Road in Chartham, near Canterbury.

The road was blocked in both directions and queuing traffic built up while emergency services responded to the crash.

South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where the motorcyclist was treated for his injuries before being taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.
