Motown legends Martha Reeves and The Vandellas are among the acts announced to play this summer’s Lounge On The Farm music festival in Canterbury.
The three day event returns to Merton Farm from Friday, July 9 to Sunday, July 11 and organisers have confirmed another promising line-up.
Hits including Nowhere To Run and Dancing In The Street will ring around the main Cowshed stage on the Saturday night, with ska pioneers Toots and The Maytals set to round off the weekend on the Sunday.
Now entering its fifth year, the festival combines music across seven stages with the best in locally-sourced food and drink. Roots Manuva, Edwyn Collins and The Horrors helped last year’s event pick up the UK Festival Award for Best Line-up.
Capacity is set to be doubled this year and organisers predict around 6,000 tickets will be sold.
Other acts on the bill include British jazz star Courtney Pine, Irish singer/songwriter Fionn Regan and 60s psychedelic legend The Crazy World of Arthur Brown.
