Canterbury prison was converted into a movie set, as stars and extras descended on the site for a weekend of filming.
HMP Canterbury on Longport bid farewell to its last inmate back in 2013 before being taken over by neighbouring Christ Church University.
But it proved the perfect location for the shooting of comedy drama film Poisoned Arrows, directed by Simon Sprackling, the man behind 1994's Funny Man starring Christopher Lee.
The flick follows dart player Rocky Goldfinger, played by Kingsman and Green Street star Geoff Bell, as he is released from jail after serving 15 years for the killing of a rival player - a crime he always denied.
Determined to find out the real story behind just what happens, he embarks on a mission to uncover the real killer.
Other stars appearing include James Harkness, who has appeared in Star Wars spin-off Rogue One and alongside Michael Fassbender in 2015's Macbeth.
And playing key roles in the filming, which took place over two days, were more than 30 extras - the bulk of whom were from local football side Lokomotiv Canterbury.
Director Mr Sprackling had issued an appeal in KentOnline's sister paper the Kentish Gazette last week for extras to take part in the filming.
It is hoped filming will be completed this year, and the movie released in 2019.
