Kent's only Labour MP is considering her future in the party - amid "obsessive harassment" from left-wingers.
Rosie Duffield, whose 2017 electoral triumph saw Canterbury wrested from Tory hands for the first time in almost 100 years, has today revealed she may leave the group.
The politician's comments come in the wake of what she describes as "personal and nasty" statements published online by former and current Labour members.
In a tweet posted earlier this afternoon, Ms Duffield explained: "I am aware of yet more personal, libellous, nasty and fictional c**p being published about me again today.
"All [of this was] published [or] written by ex and current @UKLabour members who are clearly absolutely obsessed by my private life for some reason.
"I have been subjected to this rubbish for several years now. It is obsessive harassment."
Ms Duffield claims former leader Jeremy Corbyn and current Labour boss Keir Starmer, along with the party whips, have not "done anything at all to stop" the alleged abuse or support her through the experience.
She also states that they failed to offer her any legal assistance, as she is "financially unable to pursue a libel action".
"Kent Police, the parliamentary security team and the speaker's office have been helpful, but it is the Labour Party that have offered me no support at all since I unexpectedly became an MP five years ago," Ms Duffield continued.
"I am today considering my future in the party very carefully."
Labour has been approached for comment.
