Canterbury Rugby Club have unveiled six new signings with a promise of more to come ahead of the new National League Division 2 season which kicks-off next month.

The back division has been boosted by the arrival of centres Adam Wallace from Hartpury College, Kent under-20 man Aiden Moss from Blackheath and fly-half Scott Browne, who moves from Tring and has experience of playing top club rugby in Ulster.

Former Bridgewater and North Midlands under-20 lock Jeremy Darley, ex-Thanet Wanderers hooker Neil Wakefield and prop Charlie Cutting, a member of the County Performance Squad are set to create more competition in the pack.

Moss, Wallace and Wakefield are all from east Kent and so add a strong local influence to the city club’s strength.

Head coach Andy Pratt (pictured) said: “We already have a good squad who can compete at this level but we need to boost numbers. We are aiming to have cover for most positions before the serious business
starts.”

Kings School master Tom Hill joins the coaching team and will work with Lee Jeffery and Chris Franks to oversee the second team which will play in the Rugby Tech Shield this season.

The New Zealander was a member of the club’s Kent Cup winning team of 2005.
