Meet up with the local Cantii tribe as they face the25,000-strong Roman invasion, and diiscover the hidden side of the recently restored IronAge Hillfort (a Scheduled Ancient Monument, thought to be the site of Caesar's firstbattle). Bank Holiday Monday - Roman Ramble.From Canterbury Roman Museum to Bigbury Hillfort. 10.30am - 4pm. Free family-friendly 5.5 mile walk (including a two-hour break at the Bigbury Revealed event).

Sunday June 2 - the fete of the Blean, Canterbury Academy, 10am - 4pm. A variety of outdoor activities plus an indoorconference to round off the week. Featuring family activities, local food and drink, Morrisdancing, live music, wild art, clay modelling, archery, face painting, woodcraft, willowweaving, rag rug making, falconry display, and a series of talks. TV presenter, Kaddy LeePreston, will make a guest appearance.
