Concerns are growing for a missing cat who has become a celebrity in his home city.
Griffin, who lives in Canterbury with his owner Rachel Craft, is well known for his adventures, and has been missing for a week.
The moggie has a dedicated Facebook group called Gallivanting Griffin with 4,500 members, who share pictures of him in various spots.
The three-year-old Romanian rescue is often seen relaxing in shops, homes and the University of Kent campus.
But there have been no confirmed sightings of the feline since June 18 in St Michael’s Road.
His worried owner told KentOnline: “I am of course worried, however this is Griffin we’re talking about.
“He's extremely clever and always manages to keep himself well fed and looked after.
“He is also highly adventurous and cheeky, and will invite himself in wherever he likes.”
There have been a few possible sightings of the cat, but these have not been confirmed.
The 28-year-old explained: “One in Northgate, one in Whitstable - which I'm not sure about, although wouldn't put it past him to get this far - and one outside the Millers Arms, another of his favourite hang outs, although staff have said that they've not seen him.
“If anyone has any potential sightings or news then his Facebook page is the easiest way to get hold of me.”
Thousands of worried strangers and fans of Griffin have been looking out for him and sharing their concerns on the group.
Ms Craft, who adopted him from charity Bid to Save a Stray when he was four months old, said: “It's such an advantage having more than 4000 pairs of eyes on the case.
“The page is amazing and everyone is on high alert.”
Mischievous Griffin has been lost before - getting into someone’s car last year and being accidentally driven to Herne Bay.
However Ms Craft hopes the same hasn’t happened again, or that he’s been driven further afield.
She added: “I'd like to urge people to spread the word to people who may not be on social media or aware of Griffin's escapades.
“Perhaps someone thinks they have taken in a stray and are not looking for his owner.
“When he was found in Herne Bay, the lady told me she was hesitant to take him to the vets to be scanned for a chip as she was worried that if he was unchipped he may end up being put to sleep.
“This would very much have not been the case and Griffin is microchipped so any vets would be able to contact me straight away.”
