Peter Nott says his Whitstable side have got to be more resilient after allowing a lead to slip for the second successive game.
Town led at Thamesmead Town in the FA Trophy preliminary round on Saturday but, just as against Sittingbourne four days earlier, they allowed a second-half comeback from their opponents.
Nott (pictured) said: "We have got to be more resilient. The past two games we have been decent for the first hour and been in front but then we’ve conceded and before you know it you’re 2-1 down.
"We chased the game on Saturday and ended up conceding a third. We got one back and should have had a third at the end.
Whitstable travel to rock-bottom Crawley Down in Ryman League, Division 1 South on Saturday but Nott warned the result will not be a forgone conclusion.
He said: "I watched them on Tuesday (against Worthing) and they worked hard and have a few new players. If we go there expecting to win just because they’re bottom then we’ll be in for a surprise."
Rob Lyall is set to be sidelined for up to six weeks with ankle ligament damage while Keelan Mooney could be out for longer with leg injuries sustained in a road accident.
Ant Bodle (groin) could miss two weeks but Gary Mickelborough will be assessed at training on Thursday night after playing 90 minutes for the reserves on Saturday and could get a place on the bench.
