Plans for £9m Kent HQ face delays

KENT cricket chiefs are resigned to another four-week delay in their fight to win planning consent for their ambitious £9million redevelopment scheme for the county’s St Lawrence headquarters.

The club hoped the scheme would go before Canterbury City Council’s development control committee at a meeting on Tuesday evening meeting, but the scheme will not go before councillors for at least another month.

Kent chief executive Paul Millman said: "When you’re talking of a project that endears a life-time of memories for people and supporters then having to wait another couple of weeks or so isn’t really an issue."
