Police say they are concerned for the welfare of a Faversham man who has not been seen since Wednesday and has breached bail.
Officers are appealing for help in finding 36-year-old Alfred Ripley.
Mr Ripley was due to sign on bail at Sittingbourne police station on Friday but failed to keep his appointment. Earlier in the month he had been charged with an offence and is due before Magistrates to answer the charge on August 28.
Mr Ripley was last seen wearing a black and white checked shirt, black jeans and black trainers.
Superintendent Julia Chapman said: "This is a complex investigation, primarily we are concerned for the welfare of Mr Ripley, our enquiries give us reason to believe there is a genuine urgency to find him which is unrelated to any criminal case.
"However by failing to attend the police station he has breached his bail conditions therefore officers will also need to speak with him about this matter.
"Our main concern at this time is finding him safe and well and would ask members of the public who see him to contact Kent Police."
Anyone who can help police with this investigation is asked to contact officers on 101 quoting reference 07*1428.
