Police officers attacked in Canterbury city centre

Three men have been arrested after two police officers were attacked in a high street.

The officers were called to St George's Street in Canterbury following a report of a disturbance.

They were then attacked by three men as they attempted to make an arrest in Butchery Lane.

A 25-year-old and a 22-year-old from Canterbury and a 22-year-old from Folkestone, were arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker. All three have since been bailed until Monday, April 6.
