A teacher was detained under the Mental Health Act after police and paramedics were called to Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School in Canterbury.
Emergency crews responded to reports of concern for the welfare of the man.
Patrol cars and an ambulance were seen on the school campus in Old Dover Road.
Police spokesman Steve Knight said the teacher had not been deemed a risk to any pupils and no crimes were committed during the incident on Friday, May 26.
He added: “The ambulance service attended along with officers and a man was passed over to health professionals.”
Langton head teacher Dr Matthew Baxter confirmed a staff member had been taken “very ill” and treated in an ambulance.
“It’s not fair for me to comment on a member of staff who has been taken unwell,” he said.
“These are people who have private lives. It would also be unfair to make comments without knowing the full details.”
