Several vehicles were said to have been damaged during a crash in Canterbury after a police chase.

It happened on Sturry Road near the Esso garage at around 3.25pm.

Witnesses said the driver of the car being pursued was arrested at the scene.

Others said police had been chasing the vehicle all the way from Sarre.

The force confirmed the driver has now been arrested.
