Police have set up a cordon on a residential street following reports a suspected stabbing.
Officers have sealed off Brymore Road, Canterbury, and have been spotted searching an alleyway which runs parallel with the busy Sturry Road.
A heavy police presence is at the scene along with a high dependency ambulance.
Witnesses say armed officers were also previously at the street but have since left.
A 50-metre stretch of Brymore Road is taped off, blocking pedestrian and vehicle access from both directions.
Officers can be seen taking photographs as they collect evidence, and are focusing most of their attention on the alleyway and a neighbouring house.
A force spokesman said: "Police were called at 2.05pm following a report of a disturbance at an address in Brymore Road.
"Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man was taken to a local hospital with injuries to his arm and leg.
"Investigators remain at the scene and inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing."
