Police are investigating after a schoolboy was threatened with kidnap when a car pulled up alongside him.
It is alleged a man approached the youngster in Link Road, Sturry, near Canterbury, at about 4.40pm on Tuesday.
“The man was a passenger inside a dark saloon-style car that is reported to have pulled alongside the boy as he was walking in the direction of Meadow Road,” a police spokesman said.
“The boy ran away and was unharmed.”
KentOnline understands the boy was threatened with kidnap by the man as he got off a schoolbus.
Inquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident including a review of available CCTV in the area are ongoing.
