Hundreds of pounds in cash has been seized and a vulnerable woman taken to safety after police raided a suspected brothel.
Officers descended on the address in Great Stourt Mews, Canterbury, on Tuesday morning following a tip-off from a member of the public.
They helped a woman found inside the city centre building and discovered £1,600, which is believed to be the proceeds of prostitution.
Insp Guy Thompson said: "I would like to thank members of the local community for alerting us to this location.
"As a result of their information, we have safeguarded a vulnerable woman who is thought to have been exploited for criminal financial gain.
"This is often a hidden crime where exploitation of the most vulnerable occurs and I urge members of the public to contact us if a property appears to have lots of visitors attending alone."
Detectives are continuing to investigate the possible offences linked to the property as well as its ownership.
They are urging anyone with information to call 101 or to contact them via their website.
