Police with guns were seen conducting what looked like a raid on a car as part of a murder investigation.
Traffic was at a stand-still for about five minutes while the operation was carried out at Kingsmead Road, Canterbury and the vehicle was moved to the side of the road.
It came as part of police enquiries into a suspected murder after 19-year-old Jaydon McFarlane was allegedly stabbed to death in Ashford yesterday. Three people have been arrested following the reported attack in Brookfield Road.
Alejandro Javierre, travelling on the 21A bus at Kingsmead Road, towards the leisure centre, said: "I saw one or two of the officers were in full body armour and holding what looked like rifles and beckoning someone to get out of a blue car.
"The whole thing was about five minutes.
"They moved the car to a little inlet so it was out of the way of the roundabout."
Mr Javierre, a University of Kent student, added traffic was delayed while the incident took place.
