Pop sensation Katy Perry has revealed plans to come to Kent in a hilarious interaction with a fan at her concert.
The American singer told the crowd of her planned visit to the county in between takes of her one-off concert special, Katy Perry: Night of a Lifetime at London's Central Hall Westminster yesterday (December 21).
The global mega-star is engaged to Canterbury-born Orlando Bloom and shares a daughter with him.
In a TikTok of the event posted by a fan, he tells her he is also from Kent and asks if she has visited the county yet.
Katy says: “Kent? Someone else is from Kent. This is wild. We have not been to Kent yet.”
Turning to Orlando she adds: “Darling – he just asked have I been to Kent yet?
“We’ve talked about it in therapy and we’ve definitely got to go!
“We are going to go to Kent and then we are going to go to Canterbury – we’re going to make a big long thing of it.”
Katy then thanks the fan who reveals his name is also Perry and turns back to her soon-to-be husband accusatorily.
She jokes: “Oh you’ve been planted here, haven’t you? You were planted by Orlando.”
The interaction has received thousands of likes on the social media platform, with users branding the interaction “iconic”.
Some have even posted comments with hilarious suggestions for venues to perform in and places to visit.
One user said: “I suggest Chatham and Gillingham for a bit of daytime shopping, a boat trip on the Medway and an evening in Rochester – the real Kent.”
Another added: “Would love to see Katy in Margate fighting with the seagulls.”
A third said: “This is iconic, get her to Bluewater!”
