A popular clothing brand famous for its dungarees has revealed its first Kent opening date.

It is the company’s first store in the county, with ten other locations across the UK.

Lucy and Yak’s dungarees went viral during the pandemic and it describes itself as an “environmentally conscious brand.”

The shop will be painted pink with a soft pastel colour palette with four changing rooms, including an accessible one.

Co-founder Lucy Greenwood said: “We’re so excited to finally announce the launch date for our 11th shop in Canterbury.

“The new space will be another hub for creativity and community, giving us a chance to engage with our customers in person - we’ve absolutely loved meeting you all.

“We plan to continue building our Re: Yak buyback scheme as well as offering a space for meet-ups with our core community - watch this space.”

The initiative means customers can bring back used items they no longer want and exchange them for a voucher.

It is the latest of many new additions to Canterbury city centre.

Nearby in Whitefriars, Oliver Bonas opened its doors last month with Crew Clothing doing the same in May.

The Ivy Brasserie will welcome new customers in the nearby Parade on October 29.

Booking is now open for the luxury chain, which has another Kent branch in Tunbridge Wells.
