More than 100 homes have lost electricity due to a power cut.
The outage, which is affecting 150 properties in and around the villages of Chartham, Chartham Hatch and Nackington near Canterbury, was reported at just before 5am.
UK Power Networks says it is working to fix the issue, which has been caused by a fault with an overhead electricity line.
Engineers were seen extinguishing smoke coming from an electricity pole near Chartham railway station this morning.
It is estimated that power will be restored between 11.30am and 12.30pm today.
Extreme weather and high winds also caused power cuts across the county overnight on Sunday.
