A remorseless thug jailed for punching a young woman in a brutal street attack has posted prison selfies on Facebook boasting of his easy life inside.
Taylor Houston, 23, used a mobile phone smuggled into HMP Rochester to upload pictures to the social media site.
In one he poses topless, tensing his biceps and crowing about using the prison gym five times a week, adding: “Looking a lot better for it as well. ***k HMP.”
In another post he tells a friend how he has it “proper kooshty” at the Medway jail, telling how he will be back on the streets “before summer next year”.
“I was turned down for early release so I’m staying until next year but it’s cool!”, he adds.
It is not known how the phone was smuggled into the prison, but Houston tells a friend he “bought it off someone else”.
As well as selfies, he has also posted pictures of his cell, showing a TV at the end of his bed.
The prison has been Houston’s home since June, when he was jailed for attacking a woman in her 20s in Canterbury’s High Street.
He approached the victim as she was walking with a friend and punched her twice in the head.
At the time of the assault in April, he was on bail for robbing and attacking a friend after drinking heavily on New Year’s Eve last year.
His pal, a man in his 20s, was confronted with a knife and dragged outside Houston’s house in Gordon Road, Canterbury.
Houston threatened to kill him before stealing his wallet and £30.
The victim fled and was taken to hospital with head and chest injuries.
Houston pleaded guilty to two counts of assault and one of robbery and was jailed for 20 months.
Investigating officer DC Ruth Goddard said he had “expressed remorse” for his crimes, but his Facebook posts suggest otherwise.
They were removed this week after the Kentish Gazette alerted the Prison Service, which says it is a criminal offence to bring a mobile phone into a jail, or for an inmate to use one behind bars.
The offences carry a maximum penalty of two years in prison.
A spokesman said: “This behaviour is completely unacceptable and the content has been removed from social media.
“We are clear that those who break the rules will be punished and can face extra time behind bars.”
