Rail services have been suspended this evening after a incident at a railway station.

Emergency services are at the scene between Canterbury and Ramsgate after reports of an object or animal being hit.

A Southeastern spokesman said: “Because of emergency services dealing with an incident between Canterbury West and Ramsgate, services are unable to run between these stations

“Some services will be diverted via Dover.”

Commuters at Canterbury West have been told they can use their tickets on certain replacement bus routes.

Emergency services have been contacted for further details.
