Murder detectives investigating the killing of PCSO Julia James have turned their attention to train tracks.
Search teams including British Transport Police officers wearing harnesses and helmets repelled down an embankment on to the line near Aylesham social club, Ratling Road.
The section of tracks is about a mile-and-a-half from where Julia's body was found.
Police have been searching the rural area around Aylesham since the mum-of-two, a serving police community support officer, was found dead beside woodland in the neighbouring hamlet of Snowdown a fortnight ago.
Officers from forces across the country have helped with the search, while the National Crime Agency has also been drafted in to provide specialist advice on forensic techniques.
Yesterday, 21-year-old Callum Wheeler, of Sunshine Corner Avenue in Aylesham, appeared in court charged with Julia's murder. He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court tomorrow
Kent Police's assistant chief constable, Tom Richards, said yesterday while the force welcomes the charge, police continue their investigation, and are still searching for evidence.
Yesterday afternoon, police staged a reconstruction of Julia's last moments while scrubland behind a builders' yard was searched.
An actor led Julia's beloved Jack Russell, Toby, on the route she is believed to have taken.
The re-enactment was held in a bid to jog the memory of anyone who might have been in the Snowdown area on the afternoon of Julia's death, who has not yet come forward.
Anyone with information about Julia's death is urged to call police on 0800 0514526.
