Ram raiders smashed through the security gates of a caravan sales centre in Whitstable in the early hours of Monday morning and towed away two vans worth a total of £26,000.

The raiders used stolen 4x4 vehicles to attack the entrance of South Eastern Caravans in Belmont Road shortly before 2am.

Police were alerted and one vehicle was stopped in Honey Pot Hill at Blean soon after and a 21-year-old man from Sidcup was arrested.

The second vehicle was stopped in Key Street, Sittingbourne, and an 18-year-old and 15-year-old from Erith were arrested.
