Thirty-four drivers were each fined £30 after police carried out another operation in response to concerns of residents living in the Brymore Road area in Canterbury.
The drivers were given fixed penalty notices after they ignored the warning signs not to turn into Brymore Road from Sturry Road between 7.30am and 9.30am.
Residents have asked for action against the motorists who use the road as a short cut to avoid traffic delays at the Sturry Road roundabout during the morning rush hour.
The issue had been made one of three top priorities to be addressed through the Northgate Partners and Communities Together (PACT) group.
The operation was led by the Canterbury city neighbourhood team.
PC Stuart Rogers, who works in the Northgate ward, said: “We were following up the operation last December when we warned that we would repeat this enforcement. “Motorists are continuing to ignore the sign and cutting through the area which understandably causes road safety concern to those living in the streets.”
In December, 39 drivers were issued with fixed penalty notices.
