Faversham manager Ray Turner wants his side to continue their league form when they visit Walton Casuals in the FA Trophy preliminary round on Saturday.
The Lilywhites recorded their fourth win in six games on Tuesday night with a 2-0 victory against Ryman League, Division 1 South basement boys Crawley Down.
He added: "It was nice to pull away from the bottom section but we are still a long way off where we want to be, in part because we got off to such a slow start.
"We haven’t got too many league games this month, what with all the cup games but it would be nice to keep our form going and keep climbing the table."
Town don’t have a league fixture scheduled until the visit of Maidstone on October 22 and Turner revealed that without a game last weekend, he enjoyed a relaxed Saturday, taking training with his players before heading to watch the second half of Whitstable’s game with Walton & Hersham.
Town host Folkestone in the Kent Senior Cup first round on Tuesday night with a clash against Blue Square Bet South title challengers Dartford at stake for the winners.
Turner (pictured) said: "I’ll probably have a look at some of the squad players. But the prospect of a big game with Dartford in the next round is appealing.
"That would be a fantastic tie and they are the sort of games you want to be involved in."
