A reconstruction has shown the route Julia James took in the last moments of her life.
The mum-of-two had left her home in Snowdown, near Canterbury, to walk her dog on Tuesday, April 27 - but was later found dead with serious head injuries on the edge of woodland about 400m from her house.
Police have staged a re-enactment of Julia's final walk, with help from her loyal dog, Toby
This afternoon, a fortnight on from her death, Julia's own beloved Jack Russell, Toby, has taken part in a re-enactment of the walk she took that day - with a volunteer actor playing Julia.
Dressed in clothes identical to those Julia wore that day, she led Toby the dog along the scenic route he has walked many times before.
Shortly after 10pm yesterday, Callum Wheeler, 21, of Sunshine Corner Avenue in nearby Aylesham, was charged with Julia's murder.
Despite repeated appeals, police believe some people who were in the Snowdown area on the afternoon Julia died have not yet come forward.
This afternoon's reconstruction of Julia's final dog walk has been held in a bid to trigger a memory from anyone who might have been in the area and has not yet spoken to the police.
The last two weeks have seen hundreds of police officers scour the countryside and question nearby residents in a bid to piece to apprehend Julia's killer, and piece together her final moments.
Officers have been brought in from other forces across the UK to help with the investigation.
At a press conference this morning, Kent Police's assistant chief constable, Tom Richards, revealed police now know Julia left home shortly after 2pm, and that her daily walk "would typically take 30 to 40 minutes".
But her body was discovered approximately two hours after she is thought to have left home, about a 10-minute stroll from the property.
ACC Richards said: "I am confident there were people in the area at the time that we are yet to speak to.
"It's absolutely crucial. We have an obligation to piece together what happened in the last moments of Julia's life.
"We still have accounts of people in the woods and fields of that area that we don't believe that we've identified.
"I would appeal for them to come forward just to help us piece those last moments of Julia's life together.
"I appeal to anybody seeing this footage who remembers anything at all that could be of assistance to the investigation to help us piece together those last vital pieces."
ACC Richards continued: "It's been a hugely challenging fortnight. A category 'A' murder - a murder without a suspect - is fortunately a very unusual event.
"It is of course completely natural that the local community have been very concerned about it. It's been a very intense period."
Wheeler appeared before Medway magistrates this morning charged with murdering the 53-year-old mum-of-two.
He spoke only to confirm his name and address, and was remanded in prison to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday.
Asked if the police's warning for the public to remain vigilant remains in place now a suspect has been charged, ACC Richards said: "I'm keeping all options open. It is a huge step forward in the investigation that we have arrested somebody.
"I have no information at this stage to suggest that anybody else was involved in this offence, but we're remaining unblinkered and will follow the evidence where it takes us.
"We are not, at this stage, actively looking to make any further arrests."
ACC Richards added that last night's murder charge came as "a great relief to the investigation team", but says the investigation continues.
He added that "well in excess of 1,000" pieces of information have been provided by the public, but continued to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
Anyone with information about Julia's death is urged to call police on 0800 0514526.
