St Lawrence & Highland Court face a nerve-racking end to their Shepherd Neame Kent League season on Saturday.
They go into their final match at Bickley Park still in serious danger of relegation after losing by 106 runs at home to Sevenoaks Vine last weekend.
St Lawrence, chasing a target of 260-6, were bowled out for 154, a result which leaves them 10 points ahead of second-from-bottom Gore Court and 14 in front of bottom club Beckenham.
So St Lawrence need to win at Bickley Park to ensure that they aren’t left relying on other results going their way in order to stay up just 12 months after finishing third in the table.
The relegation dogfight is even more intense in Division 1, where fifth-placed Canterbury are one of five teams who could still conceivably go down with already-condemned Orpington.
But Canterbury should be safe after securing a 47-run success at Orpington last Saturday.
