More names have been added to the bill for this summer’s Lounge On The Farm music festival.
The three day mix of music, entertainment and local food and drink returns to Merton Farm from Friday, July 10, to Sunday, July 12.
Pick of the latest batch is Edwyn Collins, who will headline The Cowshed stage on the Sunday evening.
The co-founder of Glasgow label Postcard Records, Edwyn first topped the charts in 1983 with Orange Juice Rip It Up, before writing himself into Brit Pop legend with his worldwide solo hit A Girl Like You in 1995.
Joining the acts already confirmed are ska punk band The King Blues, currently enjoying extensive airtime on national radio with their debut singles Save The World, Get The Girl and My Boulder.
The Londoners will headline the band tent on the Friday night, with support from Brighton hard core punks Ghost Of A Thousand and Kent band It Hugs Back.
Other high profile names also set to descend on Canterbury include Cage The Elephant, Dub Pistols and Mercury nominated Portico Quartet, with more bands set to be announced next month.
The festival site is also set for a facelift this summer, but capacity will still be limited to 5,000 ensuring the festival’s intimate atmosphere remains in tact.
