Opinion as to whether Canterbury needs another nightclub has been split on our SpeakOut section.
The majority of contributers are in favour - but there is also support for the residents facing sleepless nights and a call for more live music venues rather than nightclubs.

Student Vicki Wirght, who has lived in Canterbury all her life, wants another club but also laments the fact that there is not much else to do.
"If I want to go out in the evening there is nowhere really to go. I can either go to the rubbish cinema, or go out and get wrecked," she says. "The only option young people have is to go pubbing and clubbing."
Gerda Buckingham supports the residents who are opposing the nightclub.
"The main problem is the extended opening hours which means that there is no respite from the anti-social behaviour during the night," she says.
Organisers of the annual Lounge on the Farm music festival say Cantebrury is "crying out" for more live music venues rather than another nightclub while Mark Brown says the city needs "one more club, plus a decent cinema, a bowling alley, the list is endless."
