Comedian Dave Lee has helped friends of young road accident victim Levi Fegan-Moncaster raise funds to aid his recovery.
Levi, 10, remains in the Royal London Hospital but is chatting to his mum Natasha and on the phone to school friends at Parkside Primary School, Canterbury, and headteacher Irene Nierzwicka.
Pupils, staff and parents were joined by Dave for a fun day to raise funds for Levi’s recovery at the school on Wednesday.
Face-painting and a non-uniform day were among the activities.
Mrs Nierwicka said: “Levi is surrounded by cards done by our pupils with smiley faces on.
“I spoke to him on Thursday and his message to everyone was 'thank-you.’
Levi was seriously injured when he was hit by a truck while riding his bike in Sturry Road on September 27.
He is moving around with the help of halo traction that keeps his head and neck still during his recovery.
