KENT police are renewing appeals for witnesses to a serious road accident from last spring to get in contact.
Police continue to investigate an incident that took place on Friday March 16, 2007, when two cars were overtaking each other on the A28 Canterbury Road at around 7.15am, travelling towards the St Nicholas-at-Wade roundabout.
A cyclist, a 41-year-old local man, was travelling towards Sarre on the opposite side of the road and was forced to take action to avoid a collision. As he swerved to avoid the cars, he came off his bike and suffered a broken collarbone.
The cyclist was wearing brightly-coloured cycling clothing, and a young man wearing a baseball cap and driving a red hatchback car stopped to assist him when he came off his bike.
A middle-aged man driving a white van or car also stopped to help the injured man. Police would like to speak to both of these drivers, as they may have witnessed the incident and hold valuable information.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 01622 652170.
