Russia’s only remaining human cannonball act is taking to the air in Canterbury as part of the Moscow State Circus.

The big top is pitched at Kingsmead recreation ground, opposite the leisure centre, until Sunday.

Stars include human cannonball Astronov, who is due to retire at the end of the circus’ current nationwide tour, and Popazov, the last performing live crossbow act.

The show’s box office is open on site every day from 9am to 9pm and tickets for all performances can also be purchased online at Ticketmaster, or on the phone at 07721 565558.

Performance times are 5pm and 7.45pm weekdays, 3pm and 7.45pm Saturday and 2pm and 5pm Sund
