Royston Gough's second-half header enabled Canterbury City to return to winning ways with a 1-0 success over Sutton in the Vandanel Kent County League’s Premier Division.
He took his chance well, heading in Adam Woollcott’s corner in Saturday's match at Hersden.
Visiting Sutton finished the match with 10 men after Ryan Eldridge was dismissed in the 77th minute for a second caution after upending Sam Baker who was through on goal.
City started the match with an attacking line-up with Gough (pictured) and Lee Austin up front, Dave Read dropping back and John Sillman and Woollcott playing wide midfield.
The first half was a tight affair with both teams battling for an opening.
The second period was incident-packed, with Gough narrowly failing to connect from Austin’s cross while Sutton’s Nick Hullance headed just wide of his own goal.
