EuroCanterbury Ladies finished off their Premier Division campaign with a 2-1 win at Brooklands Poynton on Saturday.
Second place and Canterbury's highest ever league finish had already been assured but the victory leaves the City side in confident mood ahead of the promotion play-offs.
A goal by Rebecca Weston put Canterbury ahead in the 12th minute, with Brooklands equalising nine minutes into the second half through Natalie Wray - this after Tash Brennan had hit the crossbar for the visitors with a penalty stroke just before half-time.
The winner was scored by Mel Clewlow (pictured) in the 48th minute.
The three points left Canterbury two points behind Women's Premier League champions Leicester, who drew 0-0 with Slough in their final game.
