Some of the scariest creatures ever to walk the Earth are now ready to thrill visitors at Wingham Wildlife Park.

Almost 30 life-size robotic dinosaurs, including the mighty tyrannosaurus rex, have now been installed in their own special “enclosure”, which opens today.

It is the latest investment in the park by owner Tony Binskin, who has pumped millions into the business since taking it over eight years ago.

But at least he won’t have to fork out for the food bill for these new arrivals, which are designed and made in China.

As well as the T-rex – complete with Jurassic Park type Jeep – there are scary raptors, pterosaurs and a huge diplodocus, as well as numerous other species.

Kids can also dig for dinosaur bones in a sandpit and have their picture taken in the Jeep or peering out of giant dinosaur eggs.

Tony said: “The technology has moved on and these are among the latest and best. The way they move and roar is really going to excite the kids.”

Since Tony took over the park, visitor numbers have risen from around 27,000 to 250,000 a year and continue to grow.

He has introduced lions, tigers and penguins and is awaiting the arrival of eight chimps, whose £1.5 million new enclosure is finished and ready to move in to.
