Scooter rider injured in collision with van

A MAN was taken to hospital this morning after his scooter was involved in a collision with a van in a Kent city.

The crash happened just before 8am on the A28 near the junction with Tudor Road in the Wincheap area of Canterbury.

The rider was treated at the William Harvye Hospital in Ashford for shock and minor injuries.

The road was closed while the crash was dealt with, which caused traffic problems. It was re-opened at 8.30am.
