Police have seized an illegally-adapted e-bike with no rear brake lever.
The machine was also four times more powerful than legal limits permit.
Officers finally caught up with it in Canterbury city centre after the rider had twice before fled from them.
A tweet from the city-based police team this morning said: “After making off from officers on two occasions, this illegally adapted e-bike has been seized.
“It had no rear brake lever, no chain, a throttle and motor on the hub of 1,000 watts. The maximum is 250W on the road.”
An e-bike is a bicycle that can be powered by electricity or propelled by pedals.
