The A257 has reopened in both directions after a serious crash near Nargate Street.
The accident on the westbound-bound carriageway happened before 11am.
A woman was taken to the William Harvey Hospital after the crash between a van and a car.
She had minor injuries, but the man in the van was not taken to hospital.
