A man has been charged in connection with an alleged sex attack on a university campus.

A woman told police she had been assaulted in woodland in University Road at the University of Kent in Canterbury in the early hours of Friday, June 2.

Trevor Collier, was arrested yesterday and has since been charged with sexual assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assault with the intention of committing a sexual offence.

The 30-year-old, from Canterbury Road, Chilham, will appear before Medway magistrates tomorrow.
