THE King’s Mile shopping area has unveiled its £600,000 facelift on Thursday October 4.

With its speciality shops and old world charm, Palace Street and the roads around it are an antidote to the national chains and retails giants of Canterbury’s main shopping areas.

Keith Williams, who runs the Canterbury Gallery in Orange Street, described the new look of the King’s Mile as “absolutely stunning”.

A street party takes place on Saturday October 6 from 9am to 10.30pm.
