Simon Ferrell (centre) celebrates his win with kmfm DJs Chris Finn(left) and Neil Redding
Simon Ferrell couldn’t believe his luck when he won £200 in the kmfm Birthday Balls competition.
The 42-year-old from Tankerton is a keen listener to Neil Redding’s breakfast show and regularly calls in to speak to the DJ.
He registered to play the competition which runs across Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay and two days later, kmfm DJ Chris Finn arrived on his doorstep with the Birthday Ball sack.
Much to Simon’s surprise he pulled his own birthday ball, July 31, from Finney’s birthday sack and scooped the prize.
The father of one said: "I was shocked and so happy. I’m going to buy my mum a big bunch of flowers and take her and my dad out for dinner.
"It was a lucky week for me because I also won £10 on the lottery.
"I love Redders's show and listen every morning.
"I would urge everyone to enter, because if I can win anyone can."
