REMEMBRANCE Sunday was a unique occasion for one Kent schoolgirl.
Amber Roberts, from Westmarsh, near Canterbury, turned 11 years old at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month of the year.
Her mother. Heather. says Amber, a pupil at Preston Primary School, was excited about the occasion.
“It’s something that can only happen once and she knows that,” the mother-of-five said.
“And she knows about what Remembrance Sunday is about because she has been learning about it at school.”
Amber was born at Kent and Canterbury Hospital where staff suggested she should be called Poppy given the significance of the date.
