Listen: Graham spoke to
Adam Williams as he neared the end of his challenge on
Saturday.
Throughout the gruelling challenge, he also played squash,
table tennis, basketball, netball and cycle to Whitstable and
back.
He wants others to be inspired by his efforts to do
something "little" of their own and to pass on the idea to 10
friends.
The challenge came about after Mr Holmes, who lives in Eastling,
lost his mother in November last year to pancreatic and liver
cancer.
He hopes people will do something different for the day, whether
taking the stairs instead of the lift, starting a new hobby or
learning to ride a bike.
The 44-year-old, an avid sports fan and badminton endurance
world record holder, said: "People don't have to organise large
events or individually raise thousands of pounds.
"Simply do something little, think about cancer, pay a pound and
ask your friends to do the same. Everyone is touched in one way or
another by cancer and therefore this is a way that everyone can
help."
