St Lawrence and Highland Court Cricket Club suffer heavy Kent League defeat

St Lawrence and Highland Court suffered a disappointing 138-run loss to Bexley in the Shepherd Neame Kent League Premier Division.

Richard Keir took 3-55 but the visitors cruised to 295-5 and despite 63 from Sean French and 30 from Alex Kemp, the rest combined for just 64 runs as the hosts were dismissed for 157.

Canterbury slipped closer to the Division 1 relegation zone after a 103-run defeat against previously bottom-placed Ashford.

Tim Wren took 4-77 off 15 as the home side were dismissed for 277 but despite Matt Jenkinson’s 51, extras was the next biggest scorer with 19 and Canterbury were dismissed for 174.
